Hey friends! My name is Kimberly Webber and I love the 20+ nicknames people have called me in the past (Kimanji and Kiminiy Cricket among my favorites), but the most common is Kim. After serving and growing in community at South Spring Baptist Church for almost 4 years, since October 2018, I’m eager to be on a team of people who see it as their mission to equip ministers, leaders, disciples, and servants to do the work of the Kingdom at our church and in our community. I believe God has created me to be a supporter, and as Chris Legg’s Executive Assistant, I hope to be an empowering tool for Chris to do the things that only he can do.
Before coming on staff, I graduated with an International Business degree from the University of Puget Sound, worked three summers with Pine Cove camps in Tyler and around the Southeast USA, completed the Pine Cove Forge discipleship program, and worked full-time with the Mentoring Alliance in Tyler.
I’m originally from Southern California, but also call Washington State, Germany, and Ireland home. I am passionate about people and the perspective that comes from intentionally listening to the stories of others and seeking to understand something beyond our personal view. This has been a rallying cry of mine since before coming to know Jesus, and now that I do, it fuels my love for both understanding and then teaching the context that is helpful to deeply engage with Scripture.
At South Spring, you’ll often find me doing techy things in the sound booth or sharing big truths with tiny humans. Outside of South Spring, you’ll find me reading, cooking for people, or traveling to some new state or country – probably with my sister, who is 3 years younger… but we get mistaken for twins often. As of August 2022 I’ve spent time in 27 US states, 23 countries, and counting!
If you’re ever unsure who to ask, my door (and phone) are always open. I’m happy to worship with and serve alongside you!
