Mark Legg

Student Ministry Intern

What is going on guys, this is Mark Legg, the Student intern for the summer.

I am excited to jump back into the youth group after three years in college. This youth ministry formed me into the person I am today. The fact that I get to work with people that poured into me, who showed me who I am in Christ, and examples of faithful believers for all of my teenage years blows me away. It is a blessing to be able to give back!

The Lord has instilled a deep passion in me for reflection and philosophy. The more I read the Word, the more I come away with loving others in humility as the central way of life for followers of Jesus. I love to learn how to study the Word faithfully, digging into exegesis and learning about the authors, so we can better know what they and the Spirit want us to hear.

Basically, I am a very broken person trying my best to run back to Jesus.

I am studying Philosophy and Biblical Studies at Dallas Baptist University. I love the guys in my DBU fraternity Psi Omega Phi, and I am excited to be their president next year! I love reading, I enjoy sketching and ink, art in general, fashion, traveling, and awkwardly throwing up a peace sign when I don’t know what to say.

I am also an expert in not knowing how to naturally smile for photos. Seriously, I don’t understand how to do it. If I know that someone is taking a picture, how is it supposed to be “natural”??

Anyway, whoever is reading this, ILY and have a pleasant day. Let’s talk about Jesus and deep stuff if you see me! (My favorite authors are Dostoevsky, C.S. Lewis, Kierkegaard, Descartes, Aquinas, Schaeffer, and Plato)

(Fun game. Take a closer look at my last name…and now look at my hair. What is wrong with this picture?)
