This is an exciting community of believers committed to the ideal that every member is a minister. The ministry of the Church is not something done TO members… but something done BY us.
We want to live out who we are as salt and light… and we would love to have you come join us anytime!
There are a ton of excellent local churches in Smith County – and we hope you find the right one for your family. Depending on your family & ministry priorities, we might can recommend some if we aren’t the right fit… but, if you are looking for a home-base from which to minister and be ministered to, then we think South Spring is a likely a great choice.)
Personally, I love the adventure of being a follower of Jesus the Christ… a few years ago a church asked me “where I would seemyself in five years,” and I realized that since being an adult, I don’t think I would have answered that correctly!

I have been married to my wonderful bride, Ginger, since 1993! She is my best friend and co-minister in our family! We have 5 great kids.
I am a licensed professional counselor, (http://www.alethiacounseling.com) and I teach a lot for South Spring and other ministries around Tyler (Pine Cove, Brookhill, Grace, MOPS, and Womenary to name a few)…
(I am passionate about the role the church could be playing in the lives of marriages, families and the role of men. Our society has little to offer us as fathers, sons, and husbands… so the church needs to step up, and we can!
I am also passionate about the power of hospitality, so I pray that if you ever come visit us, you will have an amazing experience of feeling like you have found a place where you belong.)
