Hi there! My name is Jessica Smith and I am the Children’s Ministry Coordinator here at South Spring. I have been working part time in this role since February 2023.I have been married to my husband, Joey, since 2016, and we have two boys: Everett (4.5) and Wyatt (2). We pray nightly for our boys to be brave, strong, kind, and men after God’s own heart!
Joey and I serve at the welcome desk, and teach the first service 5th grade class. We love getting to meet new people and pour into the next generation!
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2014 (whoop!) with a degree in Tourism Management. Right after graduation, I worked full time at Pine Cove Christian Camps as a registrar. I also work as a loan processor for Legacy Mortgage Group. Some of my favorite things include:
Visiting the 30A beaches in Florida, shopping, spending time with friends, baking, listening to music (quiz me on ‘name that tune’!), puzzles/word games/card games, and chasing after my two boys.
I love helping to serve others by taking care of administrative tasks so they can focus on their strengths. I am thankful to be in a role where I can help children know God’s Word, Jesus’ love, and equipping parents by providing resources as they lead their families in the Lord (Deuteronomy 6).
My favorite verse is Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
