Hey y’all! My name is Kasey Kennedy and I am so excited that I get to serve South Spring as the Family Ministry Administrator! In this role, I have the sweet opportunity to care for all ages of our church family by helping to maintain the administrative sides of our family ministries. My goal and desire in this position is to make sure that our work runs smoothly, but ultimately, make sure that our programs are discipleship driven as we seek to live, teach, and tell the Gospel to all we encounter.
I was born and raised in Houston, TX, until I graduated high school and moved to Dallas, TX to attend Dallas Baptist University (Go Pats!). It was during my time at DBU that I first began to fully understand the beauty and importance of discipleship, and the Lord gave me a passion for equipping and encouraging believers to be disciples that make disciples. In pursuing this passion, I graduated from DBU with a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a M.A. in Discipleship.
After college I had the sweet opportunity to be a part of Pine Cove’s leadership and discipleship program, The Forge, which brought me here to Tyler, TX! The Lord truly did a work in my life through this program, which drastically changed how I live my life for the sake of the Gospel and how I pursue Christ every day. After graduating from the Forge, I worked my first summer of camp at the Pine Cove Woods, which was so much fun! And now, the Lord has so kindly brought me back to Tyler, to be with you all. I am excited to do life and continue pursuing Jesus alongside each of you! 
When I have some free time, I enjoy going to coffee shops, spending hours in books stores, and spending time with my friends and parents. A few of my favorite things include slow mornings, the color green, Acts 20:24, the extended versions of The Lord of the Rings’ movies, and my dog JamieLou.
