Lea Nell Dungo

Women's Ministry Coordinator

Lea Nell serves the Women’s Ministry administratively by coordinating details and logistics for events, bible studies and women’s programming. Her goal is to help develop the women of South Spring to be life-long followers of Jesus Christ!

Howdy! My name is Lea Nell and it is a joy to serve in the role as Women’s Ministry Coordinator. I have been attending South Spring since 2018 and I have been in this role since the beginning of 2024. I am excited about helping develop the women of this community to be life-long followers of Jesus Christ!

I come from your classic small-town in Texas and I moved to College Station to attend Texas A&M. During my time in college, I spent four summers working on summer staff with T Bar M Camp’s traveling day camp, Discover252! It was through this program and its people that the Lord truly captured my heart and revealed my passion for leadership and discipleship.

After graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in Bioenvironmental Science, I moved to Tyler as a student in The Forge, Pine Cove’s leadership and discipleship program. I spent eight months diving deep into community, deepening my knowledge and understanding of the Lord and His character, and for the first time, I felt like I truly had an accurate view of myself in my sin and my desperate need for a Savior. The Lord used this place and these people to change and shape my ministry and I could never be more grateful!

After completing the Forge, I worked one last summer at T Bar M before moving to Tyler and getting a job as a full-time Camp Director! I worked in camp ministry for four years before stepping into this role at South Spring. I enjoy spending time with my friends and my dog, Jomby! You can typically find me curled up with a book, baking homemade treats, or jumping in on spontaneous plans with my friends. I respect a good Harry Potter trivia question and love hosting events and celebrating others.

I’m excited to serve in this role, so please come say hi if you see me! Thanks and gig ‘em 🙂
