Hey friends! My name is Mary Lee Knowles and I have had the opportunity to serve as the Family Ministry Admin since June 2022! In my role as Family Ministry Admin, I get to help support our ministry teams and lay leaders, from infants all the way to adults. I am passionate about using my gifts to equip all believers to faithfully follow the Lord and live out Matthew 28:18-20.
I grew up in McKinney, TX and then moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas (Hook ‘Em!), where I studied Government and Religion. In college, I got to serve in college ministry at my church and lead YoungLife and WyldLife. After college, I participated in Pine Cove’s leadership program called the Forge and have been in Tyler ever since! Before coming on staff at South Spring, I worked in the foster care world at a Child Placement agency for a year and a half. I’m passionate about foster care and would love to talk to you about it sometime!
In my free time, I love to spend time with friends, read (always looking for good book recommendations), and play with my dog, Betty. I also get to serve in Student Ministry on Sunday mornings with 9th and 10th grade girls, as well as in the Pre-Teen class on Sunday Nights!
