Leadership Board Nominees

The Leadership Board are the representatives of the owner/shepherds/ministers of South Spring Baptist Church.  Legally, we are a board of a non-profit entity.  Spiritually, we are the under-shepherds and stewards of this dysfunctional family seeking to represent our King in this world.

Below are the bios of our Leadership Board nominees for the upcoming vote on Sunday, March 16th, 2025. We encourage you to learn about them all, and then prayerfully consider for whom you will vote.

Jessica Anthony

Membership start date: October 4, 2020

Jessica and her husband Neal have two daughters- Hallie and Esther. She and her family have been members of South Spring for four years. Jessica serves on the mission’s committee and in the nursery, and has previously served on the Leadership Board.

Lance Hart

Membership start date: January 9, 2022

Lance and his wife Kristin have three daughters- Alana, Elora, and Catalyn. He and his family have been members of South Spring for three years. Lance leads the New Beginnings class with his wife, in addition to leading a small discipleship group and discipling people one-on-one.

Gary Ramey

Membership start date: January 9, 2022

Gary and his wife Cathy have two children and four grandchildren. He and his family have been members of South Spring for three years. Gary helps with planning, oversight and leader support for our adult life groups, as well as attending Verse by Verse and mid-week Bible studies.

Jared Schuler

Membership start date: November 12, 2017

Jared and his wife Heather have four children- Avery, Hannah, Lily and Hudson. He and his family has been members of South Spring for seven years. Jared serves in the grade school building as a hallway coordinator as well as on the worship team, and he has served on the Leadership Board for the last two years.

Bobby Hicks

Membership start date: March 1, 1968

Bobby and his wife Pam have two adult children (one deceased), two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They were founding members of South Spring, and were members of First Baptist since 1968. He serves with the 2 year olds and as a greeter, and is on the finance and mission committee as well as having served on the Leadership Board.
