Students with drivers license’s are allowed to drive themselves with parent/guardian permission. Once they arrive at camp, they will need to turn in their car keys to their leader.

What if my student needs to leave for part of the week?

For the safety and security of all of our students, we will not be allowing students to leave throughout the week of camp.

Can students bring cell phones? How can I get into contact with my student while they’re at camp?

Students are not allowed to have phones or electronics while at Student Camp. If you need to get in contact with your student, our Student Ministry Team’s contact information will be shared after registration!

What will students be eating, and what should I do if my student has food allergies?

Meals will be provided by Lakeview Conference Center! Students are welcome to bring snacks from home, and there is a snack shop where students can buy additional food. Please do not bring any food with peanuts.

On the registration form, there’s a place for you to let us know your students’ food allergies. We will coordinate with Lakeview for allergy-friendly options.

What if my student has prescription medication?

All medications must be turned in to the camp nurses at check in. Prescription medications will be dispensed by the camp nurse. Students are not allowed to keep any form of medication (including over the counter medications) on them or in their cabins besides inhalers and/or epi pens. You’ll complete a medical form for your student that the nurse will reference any time care is provided while at camp.

Who will be leading students during the week?

All leaders participating in Student Camp are members of South Spring, have been background checked, filled out an application to serve, read through and have been trained in our So Loved Guidelines.

They have passed a background check and have had two references speak on their character and moral standing before we allow them to work with minors.

We have vetted each person going to camp with us to the best of our ability and there will be standards of accountability in place to make sure we fight against anything that might or could happen with any student at any time especially at camp.
