Jessica Donabó de Ford

Adult Ministries Administrator

Hola,

My name is Jessica Jasmin Donabó de Ford, and yes, you can call me Jess.

I was born and raised in Puerto Barrios, Izabal, Guatemala, where my love for leadership and service first began. I graduated as a bilingual secretary, and soon after, I had the opportunity to participate in the Miss Guatemala Universe pageant, where I was honored as Miss Congeniality in 2008. After a successful career in modeling and tourism, I immigrated to the United States in 2010, embracing a new chapter filled with faith and purpose. Over the years, I have gained experience and knowledge working in Christian organizations, education, and the legal field. Through every step of my journey, I have seen God’s faithfulness, preparing me to serve with a heart for ministry. Though my husband and children are here with me in the U.S., my parents and siblings remain in Guatemala, which keeps my heart closely connected to my roots.

At South Spring Baptist Church, my husband, Dan, and I have found a wonderful church family where we can grow in our faith and serve joyfully. We have been actively involved in the children’s ministry, and now, I am honored to step into the role ofAdult Ministry Administrator. In this position, I have the privilege of supporting the church’s adult ministry programs, helping to equip and encourage others in their walk with Christ. Ministry has always been close to my heart, and I believe God has called me to use my gifts to serve, uplift, and build strong connections within the church and beyond.

Outside of ministry and work, I am a devoted wife and mother, cherishing every moment with my husband and our two sons. I also express my creativity through painting, where I capture the beauty of God’s creation through art. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, learning new languages, and collecting Gregg Shorthand books. My husband and I dream of one day serving in the jungle region of the Guatemalan Caribbean, where we can bring the love of Christ to communities in need. My life is a testament to God’s grace, and my greatest joy is using the talents He has given me to glorify Him and serve others.
