Family Ministry

The Family predates The Church on Earth.  It predates Israel.  Family is found in the very garden and is designed, defined, created and instituted by God:  “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”  (Genesis 2:24).

We do our level best to make sure you have the tools needed and the opportunities to provide for your families the most meaningful life of purpose and value you want for them!  Family is the most amazing adventure, but it takes intentional investment; we are convinced that parenting is essentially just discipleship (leading others to follow us as we try to follow Christ).

Recently, we heard that people don’t typically look to the local church to help them with real life – marriage, parenting, stress, mental illness, money, fatigue – issues.   We want to reverse that trend.  The truth is always up-to-date, after all.

Sometimes we host seminars and conferences to help your marriage grow in strength, and we work these themes into life groups, classes, and sermons, etc.

Our life groups are intended to encourage you to make friends so that you and others can come alongside each other as well!

We also host events and activities that encourage your family to invite friends and neighbors, like our annual world-class fireworks display or the Highlands Games or the Open Season event for sportsmen (and boys)… otherwise, rather than just plan a bunch of events that pulls parents away from kids, we want to encourage families to minister together – parent/youth mission trips, family picnics, etc.

So, bring your family, come invest in one another, come minister together, or worship together… and more importantly, make sure you are doing that at home, when you walk, when you sit, when you throw the ball, when you drive to school…
